New Incredible Hulk Trailer

Disappointed. That’s what I am, with the trailer for the new Incredible Hulk movie starring Edward Norton as the angry green giant and Liv Tyler as his you-know-what.
Not that I don’t like Norton in the role. In fact, I’d like Norton in any role, because I’ve always regarded him as one of the finest actors of his generation. What I’m disappointed about is that after the fiasco that was the first Hulk movie, you might think the producers would have learned from their mistakes. Apparently, they didn’t.
Because Norton’s Hulk is STILL FREAKIN’ CGI, which kinda turned me, as well as many others, off the first movie, because watching it made me feel like watching somebody else play a PlayStation game starring the Hulk. It was just s0 fake (magic expanding purple biking shorts, anyone?) and from the looks of this latest trailer, the sequel is no different at all.
Maybe I’m just too steeped in the camp of the 70s TV series starring Lou Ferrigno, but at least that one seemed real. If they had size issues, because, let’s face it, the Incredible Hulk is incredibly-sized in the comics, they should have gotten someone like Batista, painted him green, and used the filming technique, in reverse of course, that made Elijah Wood and the other Hobbits seem so small compared to the background and the rest of the cast in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That would have worked fine. But then again, I know crap about filmmaking, so who gives a hoot?
