A 12-year-old girl is causing a commotion in Australia, because she has been chosen as the face of Gold Coast Fashion Week. one of the biggest fashion shows in the world.
Even Australian Prime Minister John Howard has joined many people in criticizing the selection of Maddison Gabriel, a 5′7 blue-eyed blonde, contending that she is much too young to be sashaying down the catwalk in revealing clothes. The girl, however, begs to differ:
“I believe that I can fit into women’s clothes. I can model women’s clothes, so I should be able to do it,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter about age, it matters that you can do the job. Modelling is all I’ve wanted to do since I was six - I don’t think I’m too young.” [Source]
