Erring Thai Cops Get Hello Kitty Treatment
Bangkok cops are now being forced to wear Hello Kitty arm bands as punishment for committing minor offenses.
If they’re late, parked in the wrong place, or break other little rules, these cops will find themselves wearing an embarassing large bright pink Hello Kitty arm band, which has two hearts embroidered on it, for several days. A Thai police colonel said the weird punsihment is designed to build discipline among coppers.
This will probably work in Thailand, but in the Philippines? Nah. “Embarassing” is too strange a word for many of this country’s cops. They’ll probably just use the arm band to stash whatever bribes they take from traffic violators or something.
