Stephanie Edwards Cut From American Idol

With the shocking exit of Stephanie Edwards, who I consider the third-best singer on American Idol this season, I have a feeling the numbers of Melinda Doolittle or Lakisha Jones will be up pretty soon.
American Idol voters have proven in the past its penchant for kicking out really good singers, and that hasn’t changed one bit. Sure, Stephanie’s performance last night of Dusty Springfield’s “You Don’t Have To Say You Love” was a bit bleh, but I don’t think she fared worse than Chris Richardson or SanGAYa Malakar, both of whom should never have reached the Top 12 in the first place.
The continued presence of Chris Richardson really annoys the hell out of me, mainly because the only reason he’s there is the fact that he doesn’t need the services of a Naples plastic surgeon to look good. That’s all he’s got going for him, nothing more.
